THE WORK
AN ARTISTIC TREATISE OF
COOKERY
Recipes and Floripondios is a cookery treatise made up of 2 volumes that includes a total of 58 recipes and 77 oil paintings, calligraphic and painted entirely by hand.
The recipes were originally written by the author's great-grandmother, Dorotea Arrigorriaga, around 1879; and they give a semblance of what the kitchen was like in the last quarter of the 19th century. They describe magnificent dishes of legumes, vegetables, fish, meat or game, as well as delicious pastries.
A WORK
UNIQUE IN
THE WORLD
The paintings that adorn and complement each recipe have been made in oil, representing plants and flowers from the author's garden, in the first volume; and mosses and lichens that grow on the old walls of his house, in the second.
The sheets have a measure of 35 cm. x 45cm. and have been primed one by one to protect them from paint oil.

The author has wanted to collect the recipes in this artistic project to which he has dedicated two years because both worlds, cooking and painting, make up experiences strongly linked to his own vital identity. Recetas and Floripondios constitute two original copies unique in the world of which no copies will be made. In short, a treatise on cuisine of great value for its artistic beauty, its history and tradition, above all, for its rich gastronomic content.
